BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

Caddo Parish Fire District 5, being a fire protection district established by the Caddo Parish Commission, is considered a political subdivision of the State of Louisiana.  As such, state law requires that it have a board to serve as the governing authority to "do all things necessary to carry out the purposes for which the district was created."  This board is known as the Board of Commissioners.  It is comprised of six members, all appointed by the Caddo Parish Commission.  The Board meets once per month and also on special occasions when the need arises.  Its members receive no compensation for serving.
