Fire District 5's primary coverage area is from the southeastern city limits of Shreveport, north of DeSoto and Red River Parishes, east of Wallace Lake Road and west of the Red River.

AUTOMATIC AID AGREEMENTS
Caddo Parish Fire District 5 maintains a reciprocal automatic aid agreement with the Shreveport Fire Department for certain areas for fire and EMS incidents.
Caddo Parish Fire District 5 also maintains a reciprocal automatic aid agreement with Caddo Parish Fire District 6. This means that Fire District 5 will automatically be dispatched to all structure fires or fire alarms in Fire District 6's area, and Fire District 6 will automatically be dispatched to all structure fires or fire alarms in Fire District 5's area.
MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS
Caddo Parish Fire District 5 maintains mutual aid agreements with all other Caddo Fire Districts. While these are not answered automatically, they are answered upon a special request that is sent to Caddo Parish Fire
Communications from the Chief or Incident Commander in the fire district requesting aid.
Caddo Parish Fire District 5 also maintains mutual aid agreements with Desoto Parish Fire Districts 3 and 9, South Bossier Fire District 2, Red River Parish Fire District, and Red River Parish EMS.
